Regenerative Medicine Services

Regenerate. Renew. Experience the potential of regenerative medicine at Dynamic Stem Cell Therapy.

Regenerative Medicine Services

At Dynamic Stem Cell Therapy, we believe in providing our patients with the best opportunities for recovery, and that means finding new ways to treat old issues. Recent studies show that regenerative medicine has the ability to potentially treat a surprising number of conditions, and new research is advancing our understanding of regenerative medicine every year.

Since regenerative medicine stimulates natural healing responses in a patient's body and is less invasive than many alternatives, we are excited to offer these services to our patients. If you are interested in regenerative medicine or have any questions, please contact us or call (702) 547-6565.

How does regenerative medicine work?

Instead of painful and invasive joint surgeries or replacements, we take a gentler approach that allows biomolecules to try and recruit local healing agents from your own body. Once this natural healing response is stimulated, it can potentially repair damaged nerves, blood, skin, bone, and muscles.

Using medical technology to regenerate your own body is, in essence, the heart of regenerative medicine.

This process can be broken down into two sections: Cell therapy and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). Think of cellular therapy as the seeds that regenerate new, healthy cells and PRP as the fertilizer that helps them grow.

Regenerative Medicine Services

Regenerative Mediciney is a huge part of regenerative medicine. Using cells, you can potentially regenerate cells in your body through a minimally invasive procedure without the risk of rejection.

What are cells?

Cells are cells that have the potential to develop into some or many different cell types in the body. Serving as a sort of repair system, they can theoretically divide without limit to replenish other cells for as long as the person or animal is still alive. When a cell divides, each "daughter" cell has the potential to either remain a cell or become another type of cell with a more specialized function, such as a muscle cell, a red blood cell, or a brain cell.

These cells work by becoming other types of cells within the body. For instance, some cells could become neurons and nerve cells, while others might become skin or bone cells.

Taking care to properly apply safe procedures in the treatment of a patient allows us to perform a same-day procedure that can be quickly recovered from. Many patients return to work the following day.

How long can Regenerative Medicine results last?

Per our current scientific understanding, results are shown to be effective for a period of 5 - 10 years.

How soon can I potentially feel better after Regenerative Medicine?

Generally our patients report less pain from their conditions in as little as 2 weeks to 6 months with the greatest amount of healing happening in the first 90 - 100 days. Every patient's body is different, so please ask us if you have any questions!

How many times does a patient need injections?

For most patients, our therapy is normally a one time procedure that does not need to be repeated.

What is getting a Regenerative Medicine injection like?

Relatively quick and painless. Many patients have some cells taken from their body or supplied prior to the procedure, and the injection itself only takes a moment. Patients go home the same day and are usually free to return to work the next day.

Here is an example of the injection in action:

Autologous Regenerative Medicine

Autologous means "from one's self". Because autologous tissue comes from your own body, it is one of the most natural things to use to heal your body.

Autologous Regenerative Medicine is are one of the greatest tools in regenerative medicine. Since the cells come from your own body there is believed to be little to no risk of rejection.

The procedure is quick and easy, with little to no downtime and minimal recovery restrictions. Below are some different regenerative medicine options patients may receive using autologous cells.

Bone Marrow Regenerative Medicine

While we typically use umbilical cord cells whenever possible, we may recommend bone marrow cells for treatment in certain cases. The power and potential uses these cells have could make them the ideal option for some conditions and injuries.

Bone marrow Regenerative Medicine could be especially effective at regenerating red blood cells and many other forms of tissue. Autologous bone marrow Regenerative Medicine have shown promise in studies across the globe for over a decade.

Our skilled team is experienced at performing these advanced procedures, and will be happy to assist you with any questions along the way.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

What is PRP? You can think of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) as the fertilizer that helps enhance regenerative medicine, since it contains important growth factors for the renewing of cells. These cells can be used to repair and rejuvenate the body.

Also autologous, PRP is essentially a fraction of your peripheral blood that can stimulate healing. Research shows that PRP activates recruited resident cells within your body and creates a higher likelihood of a positive response to your regenerative medicine procedure.

What is a PRP injection?

PRP injections are focused injections of platelet rich plasma containing important growth elements. When injected, this platelet rich plasma can stimulate your body's natural healing responses so that you heal and recover faster, just like platelets help you heal from a cut.

What are the benefits of a PRP injection?

Since PRP is platelet rich and contains important growth factors, it can inflammation and injury heal more quickly.

Think about when you get cut. Your platelets gather at the site of the injury, forming a scab while your skin heals. Eventually, the scab falls off, the scar heals, and the pain fades. This is exactly what happens inside the body, too, and PRP can help stimulate this process at the site of your injury or inflammation.

What is a PRP facial?

As an aesthetic treatment meant to rejuvenate skin and provide a more youthful look, PRP facials may reduce fine lines and wrinkles without surgery. Because of this, PRP facials are a popular treatment for people who want to look younger and more beautiful.

What are the benefits of a PRP facial?

Collagen stimulation caused by a PRP facial can result in a decrease of fine lines and wrinkles, and the procedure could also improve skin tone and even tighten lax skin.

What are the 8 Growth factors contained in PRP and how can they help me?

FUNCTIONS AND SPECIFIC RELATION TO THE SKIN:

  1. Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) – Stimulates fibroblasts to secrete collagenase to degrade the matrix during the remodeling phase. Stimulates keratinocyte and fibroblast proliferation.
  2. Transforming Growth Factor- Promotes angiogenesis, up-regulates collagen production and inhibits degradation, promotes chemo attraction of inflammatory cells.
  3. Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) – Endothelial cells promote angiogenesis during tissue hypoxia.
  4. Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) – Promotes angiogenesis, granulation, and epithelialization via endothelial cell, fibroblast, and keratinocyte migration, respectively.
  5. Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) – Attracts macrophages and fibroblasts to zone of injury. Promotes collagen and proteoglycan synthesis.
  6. Interleukins, Macrophages, keratinocytes, endothelial cells, lymphocytes, fibroblasts, osteoblasts, basophils, mast cells – Activates fibroblast differentiation. Induces collagen and proteoglycan synthesis.
  7. Colony Stimulating Factors – Stimulates granulocyte and macrophage proliferation.
  8. Keratinocyte Growth Factor – Fibroblasts stimulate keratinocyte migration, differentiation, and proliferation.

How do you obtain the PRP?

We take a small amount of venous blood from you (the patient) and isolate the PRP layer. We take whole blood through sterile venipuncture for processing. Prior to the procedure the blood is transferred into a closed vacutainer tube and centrifuged to extract the PRP.

What is the procedure like for a PRP facial?

PRP facials are performed by using microneedling to prepare the face to receive a wash of important growth factors from a patient's own blood. PRP facials like these could tighten lax skin, improve skin tone, stimulate collagen growth, and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine

Injuries happen to the best of us, and when they do, you need treatment options. Regenerative medicine is capable of regenerating cartilage, ligaments, and many other tissues that can be damaged by the high intensity of an active lifestyle in sports or recreation.

If you have any injuries or conditions keeping you from getting back to your active life, please get in contact and we'd love to inform you about potential treatment options.

Knowing that you can possibly avoid surgery or expedite your recovery, you may decide that one of our regenerative medicine treatment options is for you.

After all, most of our therapies have little to no downtime, relatively few recovery restrictions, and are far less invasive than surgery.
